The Winslow Township Park District Board met on Saturday, September 17, 2005 at the Park Maintenance Building at 7:30 a.m. Those present were: Dee Temperly, Dave Schexnayder, Angie Martinez, Darla Cobb, Fred Hagen, and Barb Wire.
Dee read the minutes. Angie moved to approve the minutes and Dave seconded the motion. In favor carried.
Darla handed out the Treasurer's report to each one present. Dee moved to approve the report and Dave seconded. The report was approved. Bills were paid in the amount of $498.74. The bill for River Days will be sent to the committee.
Dave will rewrite the safety changes. Angie will laminate the new copies. Dave will also update the complaint form and make copies.
Lawrence Janike spent one hour going over the playground equipment.
The donation sign is completed.
Dave will get the pads for the basketball poles.
The cone shaped speakers were delivered to Mr. Ivey.
New horns will be hung outside on the building or light poles.
The Martintown youth group used the park in August and sent us a thank you note.
We have a bid from the B & S Stripping Company for the basketball courts. This was tabled until further notice.
The Lexon material is here. We need to get the Lexon on the sign.
Angie will paint the center of the Merry Go Round.
Fred has grass seed. Dee will seed the green house area.
Barb will call Edler Electric again about the burned out lights.
Angie will check with Bobby Chumbler about installing the $300.00 CD player and hook up the sound system.
Dave will meaure the bleachers. Angie moved we order 15 ft. bleacher planks. Dee seconded the motion. All were in favor.
The Halloween Party will be Oct. 29th.
Angie will donate kick balls.
Two freezers need to be moved out of the building. Fred will talk to Brian Diffenderfer about ownership. L. Janike would like them.
Baseboard heaters and thermostats need to be installed and painted at $50.00 apiece. Dave moved that we allow $200.00 for this purpose and Angie seconded the motion. All were in favor.
The floor needs to be painted grey.
The eye-beam needs to be cut off before painting.
Lawrence has painted, taken garbage out, picked up trash and has done mudding. He is quite a worker. So far he has put in 52 hours at the park for community service.
