Village Board Meeting

 

 

 

The Winslow Village Board met in regular session on Wednesday,April 12, 2006 ,  at 7:00 PM. at the Village Hall.  The meeting was called to order by Mr.Croup.  The roll call went as follows:

Members Present:            Mr. Hastings,  Ms. Hook, Mrs. Wire, Mrs. Mc Phillips, Mr. Diffenderfer, Mrs. Coldiron

 Present:            Ken Niesmeyer, Randy Marks, Marlin Mason

 

            A motion was made by Mr. Diffenderfer and seconded by Mrs. Wire to approve the minutes of the last meeting.  All were in favor.  Motion carried.   

 

            A motion was made by Mrs. Wire and seconded by Mr. Diffenderfer to approve the financial report.  All were in favor.  Motion carried.

 

AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION:

 

            Mr. Niesmeyer wanted to let us know that it’s burglar season again.  Please be on the watch for any new faces.

 

            On April 2nd the pumps were running with no water.  Mr. Simmons seemed to think that it might have been lightning.  Mr. Marks and Mr. Marlin worked on the pumps and all seems to be working now.

 

            Mr. Marks asked for money for painting stripes.  Mrs. Wire motioned and it was seconded by Mrs. Coldiron to have Mr. Marks purchase a case of yellow striping paint and a couple of cans of white.  Roll call was made.  All were in favor.  Motion carried.

 

            Paradise Cove has asked to use Village trucks.  All members were in agreement to let them use our truck.

 

                 Per Mr. Mason, we have all the proper paperwork sent to Springfield to indicate that the replacement of Mr. Bunker has been changed.  He also has the confidence report done and it has to be hand delivered to each household.    Mr. Niesmeyer will deliver them. 

 

STREETS, ALLEYS, BRIDGES AND SIDEWALKS:

 

            Are we going to fix the street over by the Village and over at GG’s.  There has been some interest in doing the projects.  Mr. Croup will be putting something on the website to report problem areas.

           

PUBLIC PROPERTY, WATER AND SEWER:

 

            A discussion about certification on the mosquito spray came up.  It was decided that we need a back up in case something happened to the contractor.

 

HEALTH, WELFARE AND POLICE:

           

            There was some discussion on vehicle stickers.  Mr. Diffenderfer will look into it.

 

FINANCE AND APPROPRIATIONS:

 

 

PERMITS AND LICENSE:

 

            Jeannie Mueller is now head of the Permits and License.

OTHER BUSINESS:

 

             Mrs. Wire made a motion and it was seconded by Mr. Difffenderfer to clarify that the use of the Community Building will cost $35 and the use of the kitchen is $15 extra plus $10 clean up fee if required. 

 

            Per Mr. Hastings, he heard that Harlem Township might be taking bids for a 1999 truck with plow, etc.  Mr. Marks will go look at the truck.

 

            There are discussions going on regarding the infrastructure.  Kathy Orr was to send a proposal  to Mr. Tuell, but no one knows if a proposal was sent to him.  Mr. Croup will get with Mrs. Mc Phillips to get an answer.

 

            Subordination of Village loan for Mr. & Mrs. Croup was discussed with the Board Members.  A motion was made by Mrs. Coldiron and seconded by Mr. Diffenderfer for the  subordination of the loan approved by the Village be allowed.  All were in favor.  Motion carried.

           

            A motion was made by Mrs. Wire and seconded by Mrs. Coldiron to approve the bills as amended with the addition for Marlin Mason.  Roll call was made.  All were in favor.  Motion carried.

 

Mr. Croup adjourned the meeting at 8:45 PM.
