Mr. Ammon says there
are 2 deposits of sediment along his street.
This is caused from excessive rain.
There are other topics that he said he could fix at no charge to the
Village. He also said that the ditch
needed cleaning.
We need another tank of mosquito
spray. Rich Fuchs should get with Mr.
Croup before ordering.
Mr. Mason said they finally cleaned
the lift stations. Scrapers are
wearing the floor out because the braces that hold the scrapers were
broken. Hopper was all plugged up. This was cleaned. There is also a lot of gravel in one tank. He has no idea what it would cost to
repair, his guess was about $2500. He
will contact people and get estimates.
Mr.
Bill Bloch is here to tell us about the Illinois Municipal League Risk Management
Association insurance. Must join the
association. Must pass an ordinance
stating that you will join the organization.
Contract says you have to be insured at least 1 year. They now offer free bonds. There are a few things we have to
furnish. Once he has that he will get
the insurance quote.
The
lawn mower needs replacing. Mrs.
Coldiron went out and got quotes on lawn mowers. She suggested that we purchase the one from Pickards. Mr. Coldiron motioned and it was seconded by
Mr. Marks to purchase the Cub Cadet from Pickards for $2339.00 with no
tax. The old mower would cost about
$350 to fix and it is a pretty old mower.
Pickards can look at the old mower and maybe give us a trade in for
it. Roll call was made. All were in favor. Motion carried.

Campbell to expand his garage inward.
HEALTH, WELFARE AND POLICE:
There is a neighbor who has to put
in community service. He would like to
do some service for Winslow. He cannot
do on Wednesday, Saturday or Sunday. The park district would also like to use him also. Maybe we could get the crosswalks painted by
him. Any work he does has to be approved
by Mr. Visel. All are in agreement to
let him perform the service.
Mr. Visel stated that the actual
rate for the policemen at River Days is $20/hour and not $15. A motion was made by Mr. Marks and seconded
